Just finished my first solo shift with DLAG (Dons Local Action Group) collecting food bank donations outside Sainsbury's in Worple Road. These are then distributed via The DLAG hub to local families. Amazing generosity demonstrated by local shoppers and passers by.

After a late night--mid morning a few goodgymers were still able to get out battling the elements to give their local area a bit of a tidy up. A worthwhile womble around, minus the windmill!!

Two GoodGymers were marshalling and I was writing the parkrun report/running at this popular event. We also ran into (!) John, an experienced GoodGymer from Camden. On such a damp, chilly morning it was nice to warm our hands over a cup of tea in the cafe afterwards. Thanks to the Wimbledon team for having us and for letting Jade practise her public speaking from the bench - while promoting GoodGym of course! It was a great way to get the word out about what we are doing in Merton.

Mike Forder earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Mike completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Mike was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

I completed the task before it got dark using own litter picker and bag opener - took this along to do local shopping and plogged en route. Sainsbury's Local Manager happy for me to leave bag and equipment tucked away safely in store while I did my shopping - double mission accomplished!
Edit: Rachel got out and about and Emily grabbed a couple of bags of litter as well. We all benefitted from the fresh air and DIY task at this time of year.
