Mike Forder cheered 250 times.
Mike is one of the people that keep the GoodGym community alive and well. By cheering 250 times they've shown they're committed to supporting other runners. They are definitely a fan of what GoodGym is all about.

Local residents have done a sterling job in transforming this area outside the telephone exchange, but they are always in need of a helping hand. Six of us GoodGymers were tasked with laying down cardboard on cleared areas, filling barrows with woodchip and then spreading it on top. Refreshed by glasses of pomegranate juice served by Maggie, we soon transformed the area and were rewarded with a downhill run on the way home!

Today's jobs were to plant up the ornamental beds with grasses, sow flower seeds, do a bit of weeding and, most importantly, fetch water for the garden from Canons House, as the outdoor tap is out of action. Three GoodGymers helped the team of volunteers to get all the jobs done swiftly, leaving time to appreciate our efforts with a cuppa from the adjacent cafe. The community garden is really coming along and it's lovely to see it blooming.

We delivered another 2 missions at Raynes Park Station today, assisting the Friends of Raynes Park Station. While a contingent of our finest were 'inducted' into the mysteries of station training, our seasoned veterans got straight to work: shoveling compost and embarking on a bucket relay up to Platform 3's planters.
We were rooting for extra hands post training, and wouldn't you know it, our timing was impeccable. Just as the trainees completed their session, the compost bag was emptied and the final bucket delivered to the awaiting planters.
Thanks to everyone who made it along - we really did prove that many hands make light work and have helped ensure the planters will be completed very soon.

it was a bright and breezy day down at Deen City Farm, with lots of families arriving for Easter activities (such as animal life drawing with a very cooperative chicken). Roxanne asked us to concentrate on the areas surrounding the farm, such as the car park and the pathways so, dressed in hi viz and armed with pickers, we cracked on and soon filled three large rubbish sacks. Afterwards we took time to meet the lambs, goats, pot-bellied pigs and other animals. This is an udderly lovely place to help out, so we hope to return soon.

The GoodGym services of Jade, Caroline, Mike, Rachael and Rufu arrived promptly at Raynes Park Station for their induction journey.
First stop: orientation around the embankment. Next stop: a very warm welcome by the station master including a guided tour of the site, where important protocols were delivered with first-class clarity. Safety briefing highlights included a firm reminder: do not cross the yellow line and tracks are strictly off-limits!
With minds focused and spirits on track, we mapped out our future route for moving compost/soil which will hopefully go some way towards choo-choosing the best plan of action for our upcoming return visit.
