We turned our attention to a triangular bed that was away from other park users on a busy day in Brunswick Cemetery - the sun had brought everyone out to enjoy the lovely space we contribute to.
Brambles, bindweed and branches (the latter left by some commercial clearing without our tidying up skills) plus lots of Jerusalem Sage that’s spread too well in this bed, plus attempt 2 at cutting back the huge thistle, all in glorious sunshine.
The time flew by, then it was off to The Canteen for more chat and lovely lunch.

Possibly the youngest ever Goodgymmer and I set off on a duo mission leafleting BS5 for the good cause of Z House Youth Shelter’s volunteer drive. We successfully delivered 200 leaflets and only one of us cried all the way home.

Fabulous to catch up with other not-running-at-the-moment GoodGymmers
Now where next?

Fantastic weather greeted a lovely lot of GoodGymmers for a spring clean at Brunswick Cemetery with oodles of work, a chat over coffee and McFlurries and a picnic lunch. More path was found, more bramble cleared and the Cemetery is looking more loved.

We were blessed with a gloriously sunny morning for our task to help at the Hillfields community garden today. We were quickly assigned a variety of tasks which included:- weeding planters, planting new seeds into pots, rolling tyres, wheelbarrowing rubble and having a good natter as we went. The hour whizzed by and we left the park with the area looking much cleaner, clearer and greener than when we arrived. Result!
Thanks so much for joining me this morning. We will be back at the foodbank in April so keep your eyes peeled for the listing.
