Islington Report written by Ernestas Jegorovas-Armstrong
On a frosty afternoon we were warmly welcomed with some antibacterial spray and Frannie at the door. Like good elves we socially distanced and listened to our instructions for the session. 4 in a hall, 3 upstairs, 2 in the kitchen and a sweeper in the pear tree.
In the main hall; food packages were sorted, tins were stacked and ordered.
Upstairs, volunteers replishened the stock in the hall.
A few volunteers cleaned the kitchen thoroughly and swept the floor.
The recycling team was strong; sorting between mixed and household waste, breaking paper boxes and braving the cold on a short trip to the bins.

Portsmouth Report written by Katie Carew-Robinson (she/her)
The shortest day went out as it began, with plenty of grey clouds and rain!
Still, from here on in the days are getting longer so we can look forward to that!
I headed west to the Hilsea foreshore in the hope of spotting a break in the clouds and maybe the "Christmas star" but no such luck... too much cloud cover! I did get the bonus of a different route to normal so I got to see some lovely Christmas lights.
Luke headed up Chessington Mount for a view over the bright lights of London and Elizabeth headed through the wet streets of Norwich where she spotted Father Christmas, he must be getting started early on the deliveries to avoid the traffic...
G&T (Gwyn and Tracey) from GG Derby are currently in North Wales. They walked 2km to admire the sunset over the Menai Straits... Let's just say it wasn't as spectacular as it can be!
Happy winter solstice everyone. 🎄 ❄

Rosie Wadey (She/her) logged a 10 mile run.
10 miles is a long way, and Rosie knows 'cos they've run it. We are seriously impressed and hope you are too
