Last night we met in a chilly Wandsworth ready to run to Age UK to help them prepare for their Grand Opening by washing their mobility buses.

We said a short thank you to the weather Gods for not raining, and started our warm up. We did some short heart-raising exercises for those who had eaten something delicious over the weekend (everybody), enjoyed a fancy coffee (Lorna owned up to around 5!), done a parkrun (well done Alice) and had an alcoholic drink (naming no names...)

After having a quick debate about whether it was too early to put up Christmas decorations (deciding in a landslide victory of 7-1 it was) we set off through a busy Clapham Junction to find the new Age UK HQ, quickly spotting the four mobility buses that needed a bit of a elbow grease. Frank, our contact at Age UK, had kindly left us all the equipment we needed, and spoiled us with some lovely drinks as well!

We soon located the tap, and were delighted to find that is wasn't freezing water we had to use! Unfortunately, after several attempts we couldn't quite the hose to work, which made cleaning the dirt off the buses a little tricky, but we persevered. Hopefully the cold light of day won't reveal too many streaks and smudges!

We finished off the night with some high energy drills to warm us up, before heading back for some stretches. Next week we have a very fun (and warm) task sanding down giant jigsaw pieces at Providence House - you can sign up here. Until then, run happy Wandsworth!
