Another great morning helping with the vaccinations. Standing outside was bit more of a challenge as there was a wind and so you got cold very quickly. Fortunately the waiting room wasnt very full and John worked out how to put the gas heater on - which you could sit on! A few minutes sat on it and you warmed back up again. The flow of patients was slower today, giving me a lovely opportunity to chat to them, finding out little snippets about their life. The staff were sure that the Ear Thermometer had a glitch (wasnt working yesterday either) so i googled the model and looked up the error code - turns out they were not pushing it in and holding it for long enough, so it felt good to fix that. Todays treat was a McDonalds egg and cheese McMuffin with a hash brown and later a patient returned with a big bag of biscuits and tea for us as a thankyou, he had cycled to Asda especially and returned - it was cold and he was 83 so that was a lovely gesture :)

I love your photos! And the story of the 83 year old man, cycling to bring you tea and biscuits - I think I've got something in my eye...
Thanks Judy, although from the photos it looks like I basically kept warm and stuffed my face 🤣 we did have patients..... honestly!!!!!
