Face(book)ing the facts
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Portsmouth.

Mrs W wanted to know how to use Facebook on her ipad to connect in to the local community.
I'm not sure what prompted me to sign up for this task as when I used Apple products at work it was more likely that I was on the phone to IT support!
However, we did manage to get Mrs W logged in to Facebook and joined her to some local social groups for older people as well as getting her to follow her local community centre and HIVE so she can keep up to date with what's going on and hopefully connect in to some of it.
Initially, Mrs W had also expressed an interest in learnings about Zoom but decided that she'd learnt enough after looking at Facebook! I did explain to her how Zoom worked and that all she needs is a meeting ID and it will do the rest so hopefully her family will set up a virtual meeting with her soon!
She was happy that she was a bit more linked up and I was amazed at how it's possible to explain over the phone without knowing exactly what the app looks like!!
Mission accomplished.
