Tonight's task was to sand the rails on one side of the church garden. There were 6 sections of railings that the vicar wanted us to paint.
He was a little optimistic with what he thought we could do!
Welcome to Nick who joined us for his first official task (good recruiting by Maxine). He wisely wore painting clothes, while Val painted her trainers and I managed to paint my arm via a plant that had got involved in the painting. Turns out nail polish remover is excellent for getting metal paint off skin!
Catherine did loads of rubbing down of the railings so almost all are ready to be painted. We only managed two sections tonight so we will be back again next week to (hopefully) finish off the job!
