I loved being back at the foodbank, it's been a while since we were last there lending a hand. They are busier than ever at the moment so Laura, Jen and Katie L were sent to the warehouse to help sort out some donations while the rest of us packed up crates with the food parcels for a single person, couple, small family or large family.
The warehouse team talked about all sorts of things and debated whether cat milk was from or for cats! They also learnt that Santa's reindeer were female, a useful fact for the quiz straight after!
The team in the church got to listen to and sing along to Christmas songs whilst packing hampers, Tetris style to make sure they could stack. Lynn used her Amazon experience to get an amazing amount into a small crate while Sarah was having to repack to try and get the height down. I didn't count how many crates we loaded but there were a lot of trolleys to push into the warehouse at the end of the evening.
Good work by all and hopefully we will be back again soon to lend a hand again.
