I didn't think you could get any better than one "Sarah" volunteering in the Church - I was wrong.... turns out two "Sarah's" volunteering in the church is EPIC! On this vaccination shift we got to welcome a lovely new GG member to the clan๐ Another recruitment by Lucy - soon I think we will have her whole street volunteering ๐. Welcome to GoodGym Sarah ๐
New Sarah was quickly put on walkie talkie duties and had it sussed in seconds๐ . Old Sarah was on ear temperatures - a waxy affair today ๐คข
Whilst at Church Door, Paul was on duty, there is never a dull moment when Paul is on shift. He re-enacted a scene from the Eddie Eagle film today - feel free to ask him about it!
John was on car park duty - I caught up with him towards the end of the shift, he said nothing eventful had happened, at which point a patient walked past him towards the main entrance, John began to speak but it was clear from her body language that she wasn't going to listen to any one in Hi-Vis, John calmly took this in his stride and still offered assistance to direct her to the right entrance. We decided that not reacting, staying calm and polite is a real good quality of a volunteer. Nice one John ๐คฉ
200 people were vaccinated today!
