Pick it up, pick it up, pick it up
7 GoodGymers made their way to help the Southsea Beachwatch in Portsmouth.
- Saturday, 7th of December 2019
- Led by Judy Knapp
A beautiful Saturday morning for a festive beach clean. Supporting Southsea Beachwatch, we set out to see what we could find.
We were all very impressed with how clean the beach has been as of late. We walked along the beach collecting small bits of rubbish and also found some interesting natural items - a crab shell, a stone with an interesting pattern, many mermaid's purses, a sea urchin, pieces of bone and colourful seaweed. Maxine found a bauble hanging from the pier, which was naturally the stage for our group photo and John even found a (plastic) rat!
A lovely pick-me-up Saturday bookended by coffee and chatting.
