Really digging the seaside vibes in Worthing tonight!

With a last minute change of task tonight it was coincidental that I had one in my back pocket ready and waiting for a cancellation.
My trusty team of volunteers gathered along the seafront to lend a hand weeding a number of neglected flowerbeds that had been overlooked by their owners. With sleeves rolled up and gloves on, we methodically worked along the beds we had been asked to help with together with a few extra that we couldn't resist weeding! As requested we also worked on the unallocated beds behind the bus shelters along the prom.
Thank you to my small but strong team tonight! We really enjoyed working together round each bed chattering and laughing at Daisy's wizardry tales and recent parkrun experiences - the banter was like gold - too expensive to buy but lovely to bask in!

On our travels we also bumped into Vicki Wells who is the labour councillor for Marine Ward. Vicki was out with her daughters doing a litter pick . Ricky took the opportunity to speak to her about food waste collections in Worthing and I discussed watering the flowerbeds with her. It was nice to see her out and about and hope to see some of the other team of councillors doing similar in the near future.
Have a great week everyone !

I love the concept of getting physically and mentally fit whilst combining it with helping others. I run most days.
