GG Portsmouth used this week's online social as an opportunity to show & tell our achievements during lockdown. Some of what happens in a Zoom chat, stays in a Zoom chat, but there were some remarkable highlights... Lynn serenaded us with her banjo tunes; Sammy showed us the family's recycled artwork: a rocket picture made from torn-up newspaper, and both she and Pippa have developed their love of art through online Paint & Chill and Art Club; Maura had spent hours on a beautiful intricate needlepoint to add to her Christmas decs; Jo, Maxine, Katie & Tony had all achieved some remarkable home improvements, developing carpentry, decorating and plumbing skills and ticking off to-do list tasks that have waited 12 years! The lockdown achievements also included surviving and flourishing businesses for Angela and for Louisa's partner, Yvonne, who showed her thanks to Lou with a cute pda! And of course there have been some impressive fitness achievements... Rosie ending years of back pain by developing a new love of Pilates during her 10 weeks of isolation; Val walked a fast 10km in searing heat, as part of our 48 hour relay; and Sarah walked a massive 474,000 steps over 160 miles during #MilesforMind. But special mention has to go to Maxine for smashing though her 100 good deeds target during lockdown, so she got to wear the new angel wings tonight.... and Catherine for her new business idea - the day-out we all want to share one day... The Double Yolker Goat Yoga Experience.... more of that to follow, I'm sure! Thanks guys for sharing x
