Storm Bella!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Portsmouth.
- Tuesday, 29th of December 2020
- Led by Portsmouth runner
During a recent run, Maura noticed that there was a huge amount of rubbish adjacent to the Salterns area of Eastern Road and close to the water. So today, inbetween the rain and sleet Mel joined Maura for 90 minutes clearing up as much as we could, and will be going back to do more. It looked like the recent storm had blown most of the rubbish into the area and was tangled up with recently cut bushes. A tree trunk had blown over causing the fence to collapse at that point. We found a deflated football, one child's trainer, stapler, bottles, a broken glass and the usual crisp and sweetie packets. Managed to fill 5 bags and stop some plastic going into the sea.
