What better way to spend a sunny evening than a jog over to Spon Gate primary school for a quick bit of sanding and staining?
The school were given to a grant to help spruce up the outdoor space and while the new additions were looking fresh the benches and chair were well overdue some TLC.
With ten of us on the job, we powered through most of the sanding, got a coat of stain on, and even gave the plants a good soak—much needed in this heat!
Great to see you again Dale and massive shoutout to Marcelle who showed up on her birthday—that’s dedication. Absolute Queen status, and yes, we got a snap of her on her ‘throne’.
Top effort from everyone—brilliant work all round!

***Four goodgymers had a fab session supporting Clothing Coventry. *
As the weather was really hot, and we also had a few donations to take down, we opted for a leisurely walk down to the warehouse. Once we arrived, we were soon greeted by Jo and Katie who showed us what needed doing tonight. We focused on making up clothings packs for children and size checking clothes. We then had a short, chatty walk back to the city centre in the lovely June sunshine.
Great session tonight everyone.

9 Coventry Goodgymers walked, ran and cycled to the Primary Plot, Earlsdon Primary School's allotment on a beautifully sunny summers' evening.
Tasks for the evening included weeding around the whole plot, tidying up the hedgerow, using wheelbarrows to move woodchippings to keep those pesky weeds at bay and getting the area ready for a busy summer term of activities on the primary plot! Well done and fantastic work everyone, we achieved lots this evening and we look forward to visiting again soon to see what the children have been planting, and maybe do a bit more weeding!
Same time next week?

This month's visit to Carriers of hope , all of our GoodGym volunteer crew, joined forces with the lively CLM for a cracking day of sorting action. The warehouse hummed with energy as we shifted stacks of clothes, household goods, and essentials, organized donations like Tetris masters, and tallied inventory with ninja-like precision. With GoodGym and CLM bringing laughs and muscle, Great efforts we're buzzing to keep the hope flowing with our monthly missions!

9 Coventry Goodgymers walked, ran and cycled to the Earlsdon Primary School allotment for a lovely evening in the sunshine. Our tasks for the evening were to dig, weed and rake in and around the raised beds so that they are ready for planting and continue working in the community allotment to get it ready for use!
Fantastic work everyone, we will back back again during the summer to support with maintaining the allotment so it can be used by the primary school children. Welcome to Mobi for your first session, see you again soon!

Bit of a windy drizzly one for a litter pick, but the four of us still managed to bag 6 sacks of rubbish! The usual suspects showed up: cans, bottles, and way too many fag ends…but but every piece picked up is one less polluting our planet.
We had lots of great conversations, including hearing all about James and Marcelle’s GoodGym Shindig trip. We came away feeling good about the difference we made – great work, everyone!
Also GoodGym Hat alert! Think you will all agree Marcelle is rocking the new headwear!
