After the food bank session we packed everything away, including putting lids back on the storage boxes and some stock re-ordering. By ‘we’ I mean mostly Richard! Rob seemed to enjoy himself sweeping up in the main hall. I put away unwanted items from the swaps table.

5 GoodGymmers helped out at the food bank today, Lucy and her mum were front of house. I helped Richard and Rob to make up the parcels in the store room and they kindly showed me the ropes. We had lots of volunteers today, it was really organised and over 40 parcels were handed out.
Potatoes, vegetable soup and jam didn’t seem popular today, hence the title!

Thank you all for helping out at Eastney Junior parkrun this morning - especially those that got shuffled to new roles!
Lucy and Vicki did more of a tail-run than a tail-walk this morning - well done, guys!
Dave was on it with his time-keeping skills, whilst John and Nia kept everyone on track whilst out marshalling.
Great job, everyone!

Abby and Val joined the FONBW to clear two more glades in the wood. Armed with sickle and shears, we hacked our way through the bramble to make new 'well hidden' paths.
A lovely morning, working with a friendly group of folks.

I joined the Havant Tree Wardens at Tournerbury Farm, Hayling Island, where they had agreement from the landowner to plant native tree species bordering a footpath.

Sadly Package Free Larder have had to close their doors today.
But that did mean all hands on deck to get the racking, food and bits & bobs packed up to go to some new homes.
We were given the task of clearing the basement storage which was done in exceptional timing that our hosts had to keep finding new jobs for us. Team GG are nothing if not speed demons!!
Once all the items were loaded into the vehicles we bid a sad farewell to the Larder. But nit without promising to be first on hand if they're able to reopen elsewhere in the future. Until we meet again Package Free.
