Three Goodgymers helped out at Luton Wardown parkrun this week, contributing a full 50% of the set up crew (if we don't count our canine conmpanion). On a frosty morning some of us dressed for the conditions and one of us very much did not...
All done with super efficiency, setting the scene for a great run by over 270 parkrunners. Back again next month!

We had a great morning volunteering at Wardown Parkrun. We arrived early, enjoyed the fresh autumn weather, and got ready with our volunteer vests and equipment.
We spread out across the park, guiding runners, offering encouragement, and helping keep the course safe. The atmosphere was friendly, energetic, and full of community spirit.
It was a simple but meaningful way to support the event, and we were happy to be part of the team.

Another month, another takeover stint at the friendliest parkrun around! As ever, Goodgymers were on hand to help out from start to finish. A beautiful autumnal morning!

To Wardown Park for our monthly effort to fill as many volunteer roles as possible for our friends at Luton Wardown Parkrun. We were a big and vocal presence, setting up the course, marshalling (with extra cheers) scanning barcodes and helping to close down the event. Not an official volunteer role, but ‘goose-wrangling’ was also an essential task this week!

To Luton Wardown parkrun for our monthly takeover, where we aim to fill as many volunteer slots as possible to support the best and friendliest parkruns around.
This morning’s event was a sea of red as local running club Stopsley Striders was marking the completion of its 2025 beginners’ course with a graduation parkrun. We set up, marshalled and scanned barcodes, helping the Luton Wardown team to put on a hugely successful event for more than 370 parkrunners.
A great event in sweltering conditions. Luckily, ice-pops were on sale in the clubhouse afterwards!

‘ And wouldn't it be nice to live together In the kind of world where we belong?’
A special parkrun this morning, with the colours of Pride very much in evidence. Goodgymers helped the morning along from set-up, through marshalling to keeping time. After a gray mizzling start the sun popped his hat on and came out to play. A great morning!
