Gemma, Rosemary, Will, and I set off from Old Spike after a quick warm-up for a sunset run to Old Alleynian Sports Club. There, we met Isaac, Sam, and Nathan, ready to tackle our task for the evening. Ian put us to work clearing the astroturf in front of the rugby clubhouse. We used the soil we removed to fill in holes on the cricket pitch, helping to smooth it out in time for summer. By the time we finished, the astro looked much better! As a well-earned reward, Ian treated us to Easter eggs before we set off on our run back to Old Spike for a cool-down. To end the evening we headed to the pub for a well-deserved drink.

We had 8 GoodGymers for our group run this week including first timer Annamaria.
Instead of the planned task of cleaning toys, Polis had another task that he needed our help with. A load of items had been left in the wrong place in the building so we created a human train to move them from one side of the building to the other (we've got a lot of experience with moving stuff at Salvation Army in Nunhead!).
We'll be back next month for our penultimate session with Polis before he moves to a different Salvation Army.

We had 10 GoodGymers this week for our group run to help Ian at Old Alleynian Sports Club.
Ian split us into two groups with one group taking wheelbarrows of sand to put on the pitches and the other clearing the area around the back of the clubhouse. Once the group had finished with the pitches, they came to help move logs that were stashed behind the clubhouse.
After the task tonight the majority of us headed to Four Quarters in Peckham for the return of our monthly social after a few months without one.

A small group of Mansur, Andrada, Benjamin and myself braved the cold 3km run to Thorlands for more wood chipping and path laying... We met Sam and Maria there and that is where the fun really started.
We were locked out of the woodchip area! We didn't have the correct padlock code to get the woodchip, so we started preparing the ground for the woodchip laying and Ben started litter picking...
But then we got a call from Simon, who was having a well deserved break in sunny Portugal, we were able to get in and get four wheelbarrows of woodchip to cover the path area. Thanks Simon!
We headed back through the cold South London streets before heading home.
