(with a nod to Glasgow's strapline)
The monthly Friday Ealing Mile was back after a gap for the various Ealing Festivals to take place. 38 runners of all ages and abilities came and ran one mile on a hot July day and four of the GoodGym Ealing gang were there to help the event take place. From lead bike, to marking out the route (including our own chalk artwork), to setting up cones, to marshaling, to chatting to other park users - we take on all tasks!
Oh, and by the way, Madhan was sporting a very nice 100 good deeds t-shirt - check it out!
WE RUN EALING is the charitable arm of the award-winning Ealing Half Marathon. We deliver community-focused running initiatives, many of which are free and open to people of all abilities. Previously known as EHM Legacy, thanks to Ealing Half Marathon, we have done heaps of stuff over the last ten years to help get people moving in Ealing. We have had installed a new drinking fountain installed Lammas Park – popular with humans and dogs! During lockdown we arranged events to encourage Ealing residents to run or walk to dozens of local parks. More recently we have brought the Blended Trails trail-running concept to Ealing and launched Ealing’s first ever Food Bank Run, in partnership with GoodGym and parkrun.
