On a wonderfully warm evening, a great group of GoodGymmers gathered in Greenwich (try saying that fast!).

With faces old and new, we were already feeling hot, so Run Leader Jen took a different approach to the warm-up - a photo treasure hunt! Provided with a list of pictures we needed snap, we set off at pace around Greenwich Naval College. One picture included building a human pyramid and another using our bodies to create the GoodGym logo. Both teams came up with imaginative ideas, and used creative flourishes to set their pictures apart (I'm thinking specifically of Julian's impressive catwalk!) Once fully warmed up and feeling like a bunch of kids, we set off to run the 2 minutes to our task for the evening - gardening at Trinity Hospice!

Welcomed by friendly volunteers, we were guided on which flower beds were to be weeded and provided with tools to get started. Many thistles and pesky weeds gave some of us a bit of a fight, but as that famous phrase goes: 15 GoodGymmers (including awesome first timer, Lydia) make light work! We ended up clearing a lot of space, ensuring that the beds looked tidy for users of the Thames Path.

However all out hard work made for a thirsty group, so we headed off to The Yacht to refuel and catch a beautiful view of the sun setting over the River Thames.
