Finding Sole Mates
3 GoodGymers made their way to help the Samaritans of Portsmouth & East Hampshire in Portsmouth.

Maxine, Harry and Katie ran to Sam's Place. It was so lovely to be back at Sam's Place, engaged in in task, and we couldn't help but get excited for their big day, the reopening next week. We had the great job of pairing, cleaning and arranging all the shoes! As Harry pointed out there were many boots made for walking (down the aisle?) as well as dancing, strutting and possibly just holding as you hobble to the taxi. Maxine took great bride in her work, ushering the pairs together and grooming them to look their best. There was great satisfaction in turning a pile of bin bags into a sales display. Ripping open bags and searching for sole mates, marrying up pairs and uniting couples. As I write this I realise we didn't even ask Maxine about her newly acquired engagement ring! She could have shown it off, used it to slice through the bin bags or compared its shininess to the sparkles on the shoes... I will have to contend with going back and editing this report with matrimonial punns.
