The first Saturday beach clean of the year that we were able to do IN REAL LIFE! Yes, it was definitely exciting enough for capitals and bold!
It felt like a proper treat to be able to have a proper catch up whilst doing a good deed and without any PPE (except for gardening gloves!).
The usual bits of plastic, cigarette butts, cans and bottles were discovered and picked up. Other interesting finds:
- a nail clipper (important to pack one of those on a trip to the beach?!)
- 2 Scrunchies (in 2 different places)
- a mini axe (from a lego set perhaps)
- a broken end of a dog lead but no dog running free!
- a mysterious dead animal (fox?), photo not included but available on request...
A Colas man approached us as we were heading back towards the Coffee Cup to collect the rubbish off us which was a bonus as it should keep the bags safe from seagull attack!
Thanks to Catherine for her photography skills today, capturing the action and the beach looking lovely.
It's great to be back.
