Run Director, Funnel Manager and Tail Walker. Supported by mini-GGers Alice and Aida, we had a lovely time supporting 58 junior parkrunners this morning. Alice's K-Pop Demon Hunters warm-up was particularly joyful!
Most of our photo credits go to parkrun mega-volunteer Katherine :-)

The runners were very enthusiastic and full of energy!
I cheered them off at gate 1 and Aoife scanned their barcodes at the finish.

It was our first time at junior parkrun. We enjoyed the park , and it was such a pleasure to see all those assorted children in the fresh air , trying hard and enjoying themselves .
It was lovely to have Pat and Rob to visit at Eastney junior parkrun, which I believe is their first GoodGym task away from the Food Bank. As you can see from Pat's quote above, it was a lovely morning supporting the next generation of runners.
Mascot Albie and mini-GoodGymer Alice were both a little bonkers and not quite sure what to do with themselves, whereas little Aida certainly kept Aoife in check as tailwalker!
Also boosting our numbers today was Rob, our longest serving Run Director, who has only recently informed me he is also registered with GoodGym. He and Duncan made a great team as timekeeper and funnel manager!

We welcomed Sharon to her very first GoodGym session this morning - it was so lovely to meet you! We hope to see you at another session soon 😀
Thanks to the JPR Volunteers Rob, Lo and the ever-present Dave for your arriving early to help with some filming for parkrun too.
Aoife and mini-GGer Aida made great time as parkwalkers, whilst Sammy was on barcode scanning, and even managed some parenting first aid whilst still volunteering!
Great job, team!

After a short-notice RD shift, Jen recruited Dave, Nia and Tracey answered her call to help with filling the roster. We also got to celebrate the first outing of Nia's black GG t-shirt - nice one, Nia!
Mini GGer Jack was planning to run, but after deciding he didn't really fancy it (we've all been there, Jack!) he and Laura got stuck into Token Sorting, which was a great help!
Whilst taking our GG photo at the end of the session, fellow Eastney Juniors RD Rob disclosed he's been signed up to GoodGym for years, but never made a session. So, he has now officially completed his first Good Deed - hopefully the first of many!
