The Wimbledon Foundation's networking event was truly inspiring, with heartfelt speeches from Carney's Community and Faith in Action highlighting their impactful work. We enjoyed some interesting conversations and meet a couple of contacts that may have more jobs for us at some point soon, and even had the chance to pose for a photo with the iconic Wimbledon trophies.

Representatives from Goodgym Merton and Goodgym Wandsworth were honoured to be invited along to afternoon tea at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

We spent an afternoon networking with other charities and community groups who are the recipients of grants from the Wimbledon Foundation Community Fund.

Meeting up briefly on arrival we were soon busy hearing about and sharing opportunities across both boroughs whilst enjoying the tasty spread of sandwiches, cakes and scones.

It was a great afternoon and we look forward to helping some of the contacts made very soon.

With November being the first month for Goodgym Merton it was a busy time recruiting charities and organisations as well as members.

The team took every opportunity to spread the word, handing out leaflets where possible, sharing the news with friends and family, and chatting to attendees at various events across the borough.

We are hoping that the base of members will grow ahead of January where there will be plenty going on in 2025.
