Rowan Thorne been to three different GoodGym areas.
A Tourist likes nothing better than exploring new areas and meeting new people, and that's what Rowan has been doing. Rowan has been to three different GoodGym areas now - nice!

Saturday was a beautiful day at Aldermoor. It was the Harvest Festival, there was lots going on, craft stalls, the outside kitchen selling hot food, apple pressing, cheese and chutney tasting, duck feeding, willow weaving, live music and a raffle!
For the morning shift Amanda and her daughter Rowan (a GoodGym tourist😊) did a brilliant job of making teas and coffees for all of the stall holders and volunteers. Amanda also assisted a less abled visitor around the farm.
Abby and Wilson were the morning welcome crew, welcoming visitors to the farm and giving them a little overview.
Lucy popped in to help mid morning and did an ace job of taking photos of the event for Richard the farm manager to use.
In the afternoon Jen and Dave from GoodGym Portsmouth arrived, their job was to sell raffle tickets to visitors as they passed.
This was a real GoodGym Team effort, its so nice when our GoodGym neighbours from Portsmouth and Lambeth join us!

For our bank holiday session we were back at Paradise Cooperative Garden last night. This amazing space used to be derelict ground, but volunteers have transformed it into a beautiful space with hives, vegetable gardens, a community area and polytunnels. The food grown there is donated to local people and charities, and made into various other things including some delicious sounding cider!
Thanks to the bank holiday we were a much smaller group than usual, but that wasn't going to hold us back! So after meeting at the gate, Rowan and Roly (welcome to London Roly!) ventured into the garden to get cracking with painting the sheds in the community area.
While Rowan and Roly did a very neat and efficient job, I found myself getting more paint over myself than the actual shed, but before long we had covered all the areas we needed to and were ready to down tools.
Nice work team! Next week we're back to normal meeting the group at the BAC -you can sign up for the run here. Hope to see you there! There is also a regular mission at a local centre for the homeless on Friday lunchtimes, and you can find the details here. Have a great week of running and doing good!

Rowan Thorne done a 6 month mission streak.
Rowan just completed a six month streak of doing missions. That’s so many bags of garden rubbish cleared and jobs done to help someone out and put a smile on their face. Give Rowan a cheer to encourage them to keep up the good work.

Ten of us braved the rain to spend an hour at Brixton Windmill on Saturday helping with a variety of jobs.
Shout out to Dottie and Benjamin who were at their first Goodgym missions 🙌
We split into three groups for 3 different tasks: 1. planting vegetable seedlings including cabbage and spring onions in the vegetable patch 2. planting hyacinth and daffodil bulbs alongside the windmill which will look lovely in the spring 3. cutting back brambles at the front of the park and a spot of litter picking
After nearly an hour we were done and headed off home. Hope to see everyone again soon!
