Six superstar GoodGymmers hit the Age UK Superstore in Leicester this week, ready to roll up their sleeves for another productive morning of volunteering.
Our tasks? Sorting play pens of tops into short sleeve and long sleeve piles and untangling a jungle of hangers, complete with size cubes. Precision, patience, and plenty of laughter got the job done.
A good catch up for everyone, lots of stories of the Equinox24 a 24hr trail race, from midnight Mel marshalling duties soaked in rain and windswept to Stu's amazing milestone of hitting 60k over six laps, he was well prepared with 1000 miles of training.
A massive well done team, everyone got stuck in as always more hands making a lighter load. Age UK are always full of praise for the difference we make. From sorting sleeves to swapping stories, we proved once again that teamwork makes the dream work!

GoodGymmers Dawn and Ashley have been getting crafty for a cause knitting an impressive collection of colourful bobble hats as part of the Big Knit campaign in support of Age UK and Innocent Smoothies.
These tiny, woolly wonders don’t just look cute on smoothie bottles they help raise vital funds for Age UK’s work supporting older people across the country. Every hat sold contributes to providing companionship, advice, and essential services to those who need it most.
So next time you spot a smoothie wearing a bobble hat, know that it might just be one of theirs, wool done, both of you!
If you have any more photos please send them to me again and I'll add and share on the socials! thanks.

Four enthusiastic GoodGymmers helped lend a hand sorting clothes and accessories at Age UK.
Upon arrival, everyone got stuck straight into organising the rails, there were plenty of fun moments along the way:
• Lindsay took the practical route and tested a running belt to see if it passed both the waist fit and phone fit test (spoiler it did!).
• Stu added humour by trying on a dress and tie combo proving that style and sorting can go hand in hand. I always await the photos of Stu wearing what he's found, usually it's hats!
• Lynne's nails unintentionally matched the size 12 hanger cube, a moment of colour coordination we didn’t know we needed!
• Nick took on the role of chief photographer.
It was a great team effort with lots of laughs and genuine impact. As always, your support was warmly appreciated by the Age UK team. Weldone everyone.

Three GoodGymmers lent a helping hand at the Age UK Superstore. Stu took on shredding (that's a new one!) making light work of a pile of old paperwork, deffinatly a behind the scenes job.
Meanwhile, Jimmy and Lindsay were busy re-labelling and hanging clothes to help get stock ready for customers, a task they are both pro's at now.
Huge shout out to Jimmy who has reached an amazing 300 Good deeds! Weldone Jimmy!
With teamwork and I'm sure there was laughter, it was a productive morning supporting a great cause. Big thanks to the Age UK team for welcoming Goodgym Leicester.
