Once again we were very happy to see that there wasn't bagfuls of rubbish to collect around the pond.
Aoife brought along our super mini gg-er who supervised superbly.
We dug through the piles of leaves and managed to find a few bits for recycling. Some sweet wrappers, and a rather creepy looking smile ready for Halloween!
I had to apologise profusely to the masses of squirrels following me through the woods. Luckily a lady arrived with some breakfast to appease them!

It was a slightly trickier than usual pick this morning with the fallen Autumn leaves hiding the litter and the wind trying to turn my bag inside out!
Lots of wrappers and 89 cigarette butts this time - I couldn't help counting them!

A great morning helping the wonderful Baffins Pond Association with their dog show/ car boot. A range of tasks were undertaken by GoodGym-ers, including gazebo setup, dog agility course setup, catering setup, litter picking, sweeping, wheelbarrowing, lifting and shifting! A pedigree class event for GoodGym! A big welcome to Aster and Jerry for their first GoodGym session, hope to see you again soon!

Jane at the Baffins Pond Association asked us to litter-pick the car park, the dipping pond and Stagg Wood. We soon collected plenty of rubbish, including hidden litter in the depths of Stagg Wood.
It was great to walk amongst the healthy, trees that were just tiny saplings when Portsmouth GoodGym helped spread bark around them to suppress the weeds a few years ago.

2 GoodGymers made their way to Baffins for the monthly litter pick after parkrun. It was a nice cool day after yesterdays sun. We found some interesting litter including a water pistol. The best find was some school notes on relationships and making babies! We did have a good read, but I don’t think we learnt anything new! We checked in on Buggingham Palace after the litter pick, the rooms were still quite well furnished and the guests seemed happy. We rounded off a lovely morning with a drink and cake at Beenys.

Very nice to see that our continued support at Baffins Pond seems to be having an effect. Much less litter around this time.
The most fascinating piece was a broken fishing rod that had been taken apart and left nicely on the wall. Why not just take it home?!
One wrapper was our nemesis. Staying just out of reach, even with the extended pickers!
The rain stayed away and we got to see the ducklings and the swan on their nest. Plus the goth ducks!
