I am so impressed with everybody's litter picking efforts over the past few days - amazing work!
Whilst all our Run Leaders and nearly all Task Force picked the same week to go on holiday, GoodGymers rallied across the South to Keep Britain Tidy!
Katie L found socks in Devon, whilst Mel and Vicki found one closer to home at Alexandra Park. Hannah and her neighbour found an entire football trivia card collection on their pick - hopefully they can share some facts ahead of the next quiz night!
See you all next week a more social task! look forward to seeing you.

Our litter pick around Canoe Lake found a lot of usual suspects - stray socks, facemasks and cigarette ends! Katie found a wallet and in further GoodGymmer style found the found owner on Facebook and managed to get a message to them.
We then undertook a thirty minute social run, and even met Batman on the way! We got super-toasty with the lovely summer sunshine so ended our mission with a dip in the sea! Jo spotted a seal harassing another swimmer - initially we thought the cold water had gone to her head but then we were luckily enough to spot him too!

Prior to our training session this evening we completed a short litter pick at Fratton Community Centre. It almost felt like a "normal" Wednesday evening, being back at our old base!
We welcomed Ben in his first mission today - visit his profile to give him a cheer!
The litter in the car park mostly consisted of crisp packets, cigarette butts and cans, however we did come across someone's chemistry coursework, scattered far and wide!
Thank you all for coming out on a dark and dingy evening!
(Apologies for the stock photo, we were clearly having too much fun to take photos!!)

Five hardy GoodGymmers took on the litter of Foxes Forest on a damp Wednesday evening.
We started in the car park and found lots of empty nitrous oxide cannisters as well as cans and bottles.
Its not a real GoodGym litter pick unless we find an article of clothing, and Rich did the honours today with a very soggy pair of jeans!
Lynn and Rich both found toothbrushes in the woodland. One can be a coincidence, but two? Its a mystery!
Thank you to the lovely Catherine for being our photographer this evening.

It felt quite sad to see the huge amount of litter on our arrival at Kingston Rec, especially after we had been there tidying up only five days before.
Undeterred, 7 enthusiastic GoodGymmers got stuck in and cleared several bags of rubbish and recycling in just one hour.
Judy, Manuel and Catherine picked up endless cigarette butts around the field, whilst Maxine, India and Katie went a bit more exotic with their finds - a pair of socks, a shoe and a wicker bench amongst the hedges!
Thanks to Judy for our photos!

9 GoodGymmers got down and dirty at Tipner Shore for a litter pick as part Keep Britain Tidy's "Great British September Clean".
We welcomed Richard on his second ever mission - and he even made an extra new buddy in a friendly cricket - check out the photos!
Jen found a practically full Jif Lemon in the middle of a roundabout. How it found itself on a motorway slip road remains an enigma - answers on a postcard please!
Down on the foreshore the amount of litter was pretty horrible, and not even GoodGym could figure out how to dispose of the wreck of a boat, two tires and a buoy so we had to leave those behind. Manuel did try and make the boat a bit more homely with the additions of some reclaimed wood seats.
Thank you everyone for an amazing effort this evening, and special thanks to Sarah, our photographer.
