We enjoyed the best part of the day transforming an old brown shed into a beautiful striped beach hut down at Milton Family Hub.

We learned that Jen can't give clear instructions and that JB may not be able to count to three*, but we had lots of fun along the way.

Richard was then off to do more painting at home in the afternoon - maybe he should start his own decorating business?

*JB can definitely count to three. This was also down to Jen's poor instruction giving!

It was certainly not the best evening for an outdoor task, but our intrepid team didn't let the rain get in the way of doing good!

In an epically short amount of time we managed to get a coat of our favourite Creocate on to nearly every panel at the Family Hub.

Hopefully a wet surface and ongoing wet weather won't leave things top streaky in the morning! We'll just have to wet and see!

Well, GoodGym achieved what many had thought impossible - we destroyed the Somerstown Cement Pit!

Sinéad found her calling as rotivator-wielder, whilst the rest of us rotated between pick-axing, digging, forking, barrowing and shoveling.

Judy made a commendable foreman, yet also had a knack for getting in the line of fire - the amount of times "MIND JUDY'S HEAD" was bellowed was pretty impressive.

Our run back was full of discussion about what take-away we might get on our way home. I was very hungry by the time we got back!

Val and Judy arrived fresh from a 6km stomp for their Monday Miles, ready and raring to go for a morning of Creocating.

Dave joined them, whilst I played hostess, providing teas, coffees and encouragement in-between checking emails.

The fence is looking so much better, thank you everyone for coming down!

The weather outside wasn't so frightful, and our painting skills were delightful.

Instead of spreading comfort and joy, we were spreading Creocate, and a lovely job we did too.

We had a pleasant evening reflecting on 2024 and thinking forward to 2025, and what looks to be a very exciting January Challenge!

After some last minute cancellation chaos (and Dave's post-work dash to B&Q, we met up at Buckland Family Hub for possibly one of our most unusual tasks to date.

Our job was to to wood treat the large wooden pirate ship in the Hub garden. It was quite a daunting task, but despite a number of late drop-outs, the hard-core team completed nearly the whole ship!

By the end of the hour we were potentially a little giddy on Creocate fumes, but had certainly got an old ship looking ship-shape!

There was plenty of chat about upcoming tasks, brush-based innuendo and a tale of a turkey-driven rugby tackle in M&S.
